Welcome to the Web site for the former members of the Columbus Project. Between 1988 and 1992, twenty-three boy and girl Scouts from over fifteen countries in the Americas and Europe met annually to plan a jamboree. This jamboree, which occurred in 1992, celebrated the 500th anniversary of Christopher Columbus' first voyage to the Americas. Many years have passed since then. The formerly teenage project members grew up, many married, and several now have children of their own. Though geographic distance initially made it difficult for the Members to keep in contact, the Internet now permits fifteen of these Scouts to reunite regularly. |
